Post Communion, First Sunday of Advent (Redub)

O God, our God, help us be patient
as we hunger for your freedom.
Keep us hoping for the joy we cannot see or feel
as we wait for this Christmas
and long for the arrival of your new creation.
While it is still night, sustain our wait for liberty,
so that, as soon as the love of Jesus dawns on us,
we will be ready to receive you.
Help us be ready too, to bring your love to the world,
both now and forever. Amen.

First version said 'wait for Christmas and the arrival of the new creation', realized this could suggestion a concurrent arrival of both, so I've changed it, inserting 'long for' so it reads: 'wait for Christmas and long for the arrival of the new creation'.
